SmartLab Toys

In January Usborne Books & More rebranded to PaperPie. Along with the rebranding they acquired a new line of Smartlab STEM toys. We got a few the other day and the kids spent all day with them! They've been loving them!

With the Tiny Robot set you can build 15 different kinds of robots that do different things and move differently.

Tiny Baking is cool because you just use ingredients you have at home, but make tiny cookies, cakes, pizzas, etc. - fast and easy!

We're just diving into Tiny Greenhouses

Mason is doing his Tiny Robots set and Logan and Ethan are playing with PaperPie's 12345 Once I caught a Fish Alive book!

Getting Creative with Boxes

Logan and Ethan made this awesome box armor with leftover boxes my mom saved for them. So fun and creative!

SLIME!

Logan got some slime for Christmas from Grammie. He loves play with it, but it is sooo sticky and messy! It's going to be an outside summer activity from now on or it may even just get "lost" real soon.

Mason's Science Fair - Feb 2023

Mason did a science project to see what grew crystals better: Alum, Baking Soda, or Borax. We poked a hole in the eggs, blew the egg yolk and stuff out, cut the egg in half, painted glue inside, then covered the inside with alum, baking soda, or borax. After they dried we created a mixture of boiling water and either alum, baking soda, or borax, added food coloring, and then soaked the eggs in them overnight to create the crystals. The Alum seemed to create the coolest crystals!!

The baking soda bubbled up quite a bit!
